Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy

Is life feeling frantic?

We can all become wrapped up in the stresses and strains of life. A mindfulness course helps develop skills to better respond to the ‘ups and downs’ of everyday living.

MBCT (mindfulness-based cognitive therapy) combines mindfulness practices with exercises from cognitive psychology to get to know our patterns and habits in reaction to stress and challenges and bring more choice to how we take care of ourselves during difficult times.


The course is suitable for anybody who wishes to find more skilful ways of dealing with the demands of our busy lives and learn to be more accepting of and at ease with ourselves.


Because the course is experiential in nature, the main investment and commitment is the time you need to set aside to attend all eight weekly classes and do the home practice of approximately 1 hour/day.

Trainer – Ilka Klapprott
I am currently studying towards a Masters degree in MBCT at the University of Oxford and will be running the course as part of that programme.
